The inspiration for Northward Hound struck when a girl from the country saw a need for city dogs to experience and enjoy country life. Originally hailing from New Hampshire, Jennifer moved to NYC with her 3 dogs in 2005, and began walking, training & boarding. After nearly 12 years in the city and countless NoHo trips to her home state, Jennifer met Skip and together they embarked on an unforgettable journey... They fell in love and decided to tie the knot. Not long thereafter, Jennifer's beloved Wheaten Terrier, Jezze, was diagnosed with lymphoma. The wedding date was pushed up a year to ensure Jezze was a part of it. They secretly got married in Charleston, SC in the presence of God and their mothers with Jezze. A year later, they re-married with friends and family present, in Jezze's honor. Her battle with cancer was lost in October 2016, but her spirit lives on and her presence still felt in this 1825 stone farmhouse in Bucks County... the current home of Northward Hound.

Northward Hound has recently grown to a year-round venture, offering NYC dogs the country life experience in a boutique-style setting... where dogs who stay with us become part of our family... which now includes our dog Jagger. This super sweet and energetic Wheaten is the perfect addition to this country retreat. Jagger loves every dog and is the absolute perfect host. He just can't wait to meet his next new friend! NoHo dogs enjoy hours of outdoor playtime frolicking with friends, chasing balls, swimming, relaxing and a myriad of other activities. We offer ALL the creature comforts of home including homemade meal magic, slumber inside our cozy farmhouse, training, grooming and freedom to live their best dog life!
